Funko Announces New The Warriors, The Goonies, and Jurassic Park Games
Funko Games has announced some new games during Gencon. First is The Warriors: Come Out and Play. Based on the 1979 cult classic, this cooperative game will have players navigate New York’s subway to get back to their home turf of Coney Island while trying to prove their innocence in the murder of Cyrus.
Deirdre Cross, Vice President at Funko Games, says:
“The Warriors is one of those films with a devoted fan base 40 years later, who quote every line and nerd out on the peculiar gangs – Baseball Furies, the Punks, and High Hats. We have reimagined all the familiar elements from the movie, including the evocative radio DJ, memorable characters and iconic gangs. Prospero Hall’s inventive gameplay and original artwork bring the film’s gritty aesthetic to life, creating an experience that is worthy of the most ardent Warriors’ fan.”
The game has an early 2022 release date.
Also announced is an expansion for The Goonies: Never Say Die, The Goonies: Under the Goondocks, where you will be able to play as Andy, Brand, and Stef with three new adventures and new treasures. This is expected out in time for Christmas.
Then there is the new Jurassic Park themed legacy game. Not much information yet, no title, but apparently the campaign of the game will take players through the entire franchise and beyond.
