Extreme Eating On YouTube
A recent purchase of a 4K Smart TV made YouTube watching much more accessible and enjoyable, even before the recent COVID-19 lockdown. During lockdown, however, my YouTube watching skyrocketed as I wanted more no commitment watching, which invariably saw me atumbling down some rabbit holes. One such hole was competitive eating.
More specifically, Beard Meets Food.
Beard Meats Food is the alias of British competitive eater and YouTube entertainer Adam Moran.
Beard Meats Food frequently participates in eating challenges in England, and currently holds the British record for most Big Macs eaten, this was a world record in August 2015 but was beaten the following month by US competitive eater Matt Stonie. He won the 2015 Yorkshire Pudding Eating World Championships in Leavening, North Yorkshire, and competed in the 2015 Battle of Big Eaters World Championships for Team UK.
As his bio says, he’s also an entertainer, though not in the traditional sense, his personality and sense of humour, with the occasional inclusion of his wife, makes his eating videos strangely entertaining and addictive.
Of course, YouTube being YouTube, it recently suggested I watch another Extreme Eater, and as it turned out, this one was a kiwi girl. Being a proud kiwi, I watch a couple of videos, and whilst not quite on the same level as Beard, Nela Zisser is definitely worth a watch as well.
