FBI Season One
Dick Wolf is probably best known for Law and Order but has been making police procedural dramas a staple of American TV for three decades now, and using the old adage, if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it, applies all his bells and whistles to a duo of rookie FBI agents in New York.
Let’s be honest, FBI is pure cheese. But in a grilled cheese sandwich kind of way. It’s comfortable and enjoyable even if it’s not really going to satisfy you long term.
The Season starts with a literal bang and keeps up a decent pace of action for the first two-thirds of the season, and whilst the storylines don’t exactly let it down, somewhere in the latter stages of the season one of the directors manages to make the actors act less conveniently and form that point on the show just lost it’s shine.
Having said that it’s decent couch time and if you’re a fan of procedural television then this will be right up your alley.
